13 ways to promote your website offline!

You've submitted your site to search engines, directories, newsgroups, bulletin boards, link sites, mailing lists, and just about everywhere! So, now your done promoting right? WRONG! Now its time to promote your website OFF-line too!
1. Put your website address on everything! Stationery, business cards, invoices, postcards, brochures, posters, including your faxes. Print your website address on anything related to your website. Basically just put your web address on any printed material. Click here for some examples.
 
2. Send out announcements about your website to everyone who you know will be interested. These announcements are called Press Releases and many local papers might be interested in your website. Magazines and other forms of publications also might be interested.
 
3. Don't forget about the old ways of advertising. Newspapers, magazines, billboards, TV, and radio! If you budget can squeeze in a weekly ad in a newspaper it might get good results.
 
4. Sponsor a high school/college/other sports team or club. You can include your website address on a banner and have your website address passed out with any important materials for the team or club.
 
5. Do you have an answering machine? If you not home or your business is closed tell them to visit your website online!
 
6. Host a seminar or class related to your website or business. You can pass out your web address on items you pass out and tell them to visit your website for more information.
 
7. Create and give away free how to guides on subjects related to your website. Hand them out at expos, on message boards, and anywhere you are allowed.
 
8. Promotional Items! Yes those funky key chains can help you promote your website. Mugs, t-shirts, bookmarks, mouse pads! Pass them out to your friends and clients, and don't forget to bring them along to your seminars or classes.
 
9. Web Decals. Place your website address on your car, windows, everywhere! There are also web address plates just for your car.
 
10. Make some money saving coupons. Hand them out for a free discount or item from your online products.
 
11. Mail out postcards with a clip of your website on it to announce your new or re-designed website.
 
12. Offer your website on a CD-Rom. You can create a multimedia presentation and also have your website on the cd-rom so that they can visit your site at anytime.
 
13. Create a rubber stamp and take it with you. STAMP EVERYTHING YOU SEE! :c)
